General Description: White-crowned Pigeons (Patagioenas leucocephala) are medium sized, plump pigeons with dark colors, a white cap down to the yellow eyes, and a bit of green iridescence on the layered neck feathers. The feet are red, and there is a bit of red at the base of the bill.

Where to Find: Don't look for White-crowned Pigeons around Las Vegas. Rather, look for them in forests with ripe fruit on the south tip of Florida and throughout the Caribbean. |
